Giglio –Saint George, the Dragon and Monasticism

A route to discover the history of Monasticism in Giglio. Participants should gather at 10.00 am in Piazza Gloriosa, where they will meet the Touristic Guide of the Park, Marina Aldi, and set out on foot in a southerly direction along the coast road. Along the route, it will be possible to see the remains of the antique rural oratories of the time, each dedicated to a particular Saint. It is highly recommended to take a packed lunch. Though morning route does not present any major difficulties, the afternoon route is reasonably challenging.
